Singer Jadu recently shared her latest photos on social media, along with a heartwarming message: “Don’t let your heart melt just because it’s hot.” In the images, she’s seen sitting in a car, resting her chin on one hand, and flashing her youthful charm with flawless skin, playful expressions, and her signature two-tone hair. Many netizens compared her look to fellow singer BoA, commenting, “Is that BoA?”, “You look 25!”, “Gorgeous as always, madam,” and “You’re aging backward.”
But behind the smiles, Jadu’s life is also filled with quiet strength. Since her younger brother passed away in 2020, she and her Korean-American pastor husband have been helping raise his four children. In a past appearance on TV Chosun’s Perfect Life, Jadu said, “My sister-in-law couldn’t raise them alone, so my husband and I decided to support them together.” She also mentioned that although she doesn’t have children of her own, she’s committed to caring for her nieces and nephews as if they were her own.
In February, Jadu attended their school sports day, cheering passionately and even performing her hit song “Kimbap” in front of students and parents. The touching gesture gained attention online, showing a different side of the beloved singer—one filled with love, resilience, and family devotion.
Jadu debuted in 2001 as part of the duo THE JADU with Kang Doo and is known for hits like “Goodbye” and “Kimbap.” She married her husband, who is six years older, in 2013. Despite language barriers at the time, she once shared humorously, “We couldn’t communicate well, but we had the Bible—and now we have Google Translate. Sometimes, not understanding each other fully makes things easier.”
