As ASTRO member Moonbin suddenly passed away and is deeply mourned by everyone, his agency has released a statement politely declining media coverage.
Fantagio, ASTRO’s agency, officially stated on April 20th, “Moonbin’s family, who are deeply saddened by the sudden loss, wish to quietly hold the funeral. Therefore, we would like to conduct all funeral procedures, including the viewing and funeral procession, privately without media coverage. The family also does not want any condolence interviews. We ask for your understanding and cooperation.“
They continued, “We earnestly ask that you pray for Moonbin to have a beautiful last journey and offer your deep condolences and blessings.“
According to the police, Moonbin was found dead at his home in Gangnam-gu, Seoul on April 19th at 8:10 PM KST, at the age of 25. His funeral will be held at the Asan Medical Center funeral home in Songpa-gu, Seoul. The funeral procession is scheduled for the morning of April 22nd. Moon Sua, Moonbin’s younger sister and member of the girl group Billlie, is currently staying at the funeral home.
Regarding Moonbin’s passing, Fantagio stated, “We first want to express our sincere apologies for delivering such heart-wrenching and sorrowful news. Moonbin has suddenly left us and become a star in the sky. The grief of his family, who have lost their beloved son and brother, cannot be compared. The ASTRO members and all of us at Fantagio, including the artists and staff who have been with him for a long time, are deeply mourning and in shock over his sudden passing.“
