Assumed Reason Lee Sun-kyun Refused To Give Statements, “He’s Waiting For Clear Evidence From Police”

As Lee Sun-kyun refused to make statements on his drug charges, the police plan to call him for another investigation soon

According to YTN’s report on October 29th, Lee Sun-kyun, who was investigated for over 1 hour by the police on the previous day (October 28th), refused to make a statement during the police because he would attend the next investigation.

When the reporters asked if he would admit the charges before entering the police station, Lee Sun-kyun replied, “I will sincerely cooperate with a sincere attitude”. Even after the questioning, the actor once again said he would sincerely respond to further investigations. 

YTN believed that Lee Sun-kyun’s refusal could be interpreted as an intention to wait for clear evidence from the police. Until then, he would not admit to the charges.

The police plan to summon Lee Sun-kyun again to carry out an intensive investigation into his drug allegations. The next investigation is expected to be this weekend.

Earlier on the 28th, Lee Sun-kyun appeared at Nohyeon Police Station in Incheon for an investigation on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act. Although the actor tested negative in the simple drug test, the police sent Lee Sun-kyun’s hair and urine to the National Forensic Service for a thorough examination. Results will be released within a month. They also plan to conduct a digital forensic on Lee Sun-kyun’s mobile phone and car.
