Biography

Ryu Da-in is a South Korean actress and former model. She began her entertainment career as a model before transitioning into acting in 2020. Ryu is best known for her roles in television dramas such as 18 Again, Crash Course in Romance, and Pyramid Game.

Early Life and Education

Ryu Da-in was born on September 29, 2000, in Busan, South Korea. She is an only child. Ryu completed her high school education through the General Educational Development examination (GED) rather than a traditional school graduation path, which allowed her to focus early on her modeling and acting career.

Career

Modeling Beginnings and Breakthrough (2020)

Ryu Da-in began her career in the entertainment industry as a model, working with agencies including YG Kplus, where she gained experience in fashion shoots and runway work.

She made her acting debut in 2020 with a supporting role in the JTBC drama 18 Again, portraying Hwang Yeong-seon, marking her first appearance in a scripted television role.

Acting Growth (2023–Present)

In 2023, Ryu Da-in appeared in the highly popular tvN drama Crash Course in Romance, playing Jang Dan-ji, a role that significantly raised her public profile and mainstream recognition.

She continued to expand her acting repertoire with roles in the psychological survival series Pyramid Game (TVING, 2024), portraying Myeong Ja-eun, a timid but heartfelt student character.

Ryu is also slated to appear in the upcoming SBS drama Awakening as Kim Ye-jin, demonstrating her ongoing rise as a versatile young actress.

Personal Life

Ryu Da-in has attracted significant attention both for her on-screen work and her personal life. After co-starring with actor Lee Chae-min in Crash Course in Romance (2023), the two developed a relationship. They publicly confirmed their romance in March 2024, and have shared moments together on social media, including matching birthday celebrations in September 2025 that went viral online.
