The victory of ALLDAY PROJECT at the 2025 Korea Grand Music Awards (KGMA) has ignited intense debate after accusations surfaced claiming member Annie Moon — a well-known chaebol heiress — may have influenced the results.
The 2025 KGMA took place on November 14–15, featuring major K-pop names such as IVE, Stray Kids, Suho, Irene, WOODZ, Dayoung, ALLDAY PROJECT, and MEOVV. One of the night’s most prestigious categories, Grand Honor’s Choice (Daesang), was awarded to ALLDAY PROJECT, making them the second fastest K-pop group in history to secure a Daesang, achieving it just 144 days after debut. The current record is held by NewJeans (134 days).
While many fans celebrated the milestone, the win quickly became embroiled in controversy. Some netizens argued that the group’s achievements felt “too fast,” pointing to Annie Moon’s background as the fourth-generation descendant of Samsung’s founding family and suggesting the possibility of favoritism or “buying” the award — allegations with no verified evidence.

Tensions escalated when a short video went viral on TikTok and X. In the clip, as ALLDAY PROJECT’s name is announced, members Tarzzan, Bailey, Woochan, and Youngseo are seen turning to look at Annie. Annie offers a small smile before rising with the group to accept the award.
This moment has been cited by some viewers as supposed “proof” of Annie’s involvement.
One viewer wrote, “The members’ eyes say everything. That reaction is too strange to be a coincidence.”
However, others argue that the scene is being taken out of context, noting that members often look at each other out of surprise or excitement during award announcements.
Fans Divided Over The Group’s Success
Despite the controversy, ALLDAY PROJECT’s debut track Famous remains one of the biggest hits in Korea this year. Supporters insist the Daesang was deserved.
