Annie from AllDay Project has been confirmed as the new female MC for the year-end broadcast of the 2025 MBC Gayo Daejejeon, set to air live on December 31.
According to Sports Chosun, Annie will take the stage as host for one of Korea’s biggest year-end music festivals. Ever since her debut, Annie has been at the center of attention, and her appointment as MC marks another unexpected but refreshing move that has left fans pleasantly surprised.

Annie, who drew attention as the granddaughter of the Shinsegae Group founder, made waves with the co-ed idol group AllDay Project a rarity in today’s K-pop scene. The group’s debut title tracks Famous and Wicked swept music charts, earning them the nickname “monster rookie.” Annie is currently one of the most talked-about figures in the industry.
This hosting gig will be Annie’s first solo activity since debut, making it especially notable. Rather than taking on a solo performance, acting role, or variety appearance, she’s boldly stepping into the role of MC for a live music festival demonstrating both courage and confidence for a rising star.

What makes her role even more meaningful is that she will succeed Girls’ Generation’s YoonA (Im Yoon-ah), who has been the face of Gayo Daejejeon for the past decade. With Annie now picking up the baton, attention is focused on how the “new face of K-pop” will bring fresh energy to the legacy built by the “K-pop legend.”
The 2025 MBC Gayo Daejejeon will once again wrap up the year on the final night of December. Directed by PD Jang Woo-sung of Show! Music Core, the event will showcase the music that defined the year, bridging genres and generations.
