Angelababy and Jenny Zhang are reportedly not blacklisted completely, but they may have to suspend their activities for about 6 months. However, upon their return, their careers are expected to suffer.

According to QQ, even if blacklisted, Angelababy can still live comfortably with her massive wealth from other activities besides acting.

Angelababy’s Massive Earnings

As per Sina’s report in June, Angelababy was involved in a copyright dispute with a plastic surgery hospital, demanding compensation of 50,000 RMB for unauthorized use of her image. To prove her commercial value, she presented advertising contracts, with her representation fee reaching 8 million RMB (1.1 million USD) per year for a three-year contract, earning her a total of 24 million RMB.

Sina further analyzed that Angelababy has endorsement deals with seven brands, earning at least 56 million RMB (about 7.8 million USD) annually from commercials alone. Additionally, she recently signed with Charlotte Tilbury and Tiffany & Co, potentially earning an extra 2.2 million USD.

Apart from endorsements, Angelababy regularly participates in events, earning nearly 2 million RMB per appearance. She also thrives in reality shows, with an appearance fee of over 10 million RMB per show (1.4 million USD).

According to Sina, during her peak, Angelababy received a staggering 80 million RMB for her role in the drama “General And I.” However, after the drama flopped, her career faced setbacks.

Angelababy’s Business Ventures

Angelababy is an investor. She runs beauty shops and cafes in Hong Kong and is a spokesperson for the global beauty and shopping app Meila, also serving as a designer for the brand.

Angelababy founded the East Yangtze Film and Television Company, later purchased by Huayi Brothers for 756 million RMB, earning her 180 million RMB (24.7 million USD) in one night, as reported by 163.

Since 2011, Angelababy has consistently made Forbes China Celebrity lists. From 2017 to 2020, she earned over 1.25 billion RMB (more than 170 million USD), ranking 15th in the highest-earning stars in the Chinese entertainment industry, surpassing even Huang Xiaoming.

Luxury Lifestyle

With high earnings, Angelababy indulges in luxury fashion, diamonds, supercars, and real estate to showcase her wealth.

According to 163, Angelababy owns two properties in Shanghai, one valued at 300 million RMB (over 41 million USD) and another mansion priced at 400 million RMB (almost 55 million USD). She also owns various properties in Hong Kong and China, including a 160 million RMB (about 22 million USD) apartment in a prime location.

Angelababy owns a BMW X6 named after her and received a Maserati and a limited edition Lamborghini from her ex-husband, Huang Xiaoming, with the Lamborghini valued at 4 million RMB (around 500,000 USD).

Angelababy loves designer handbags, showcasing a collection of Hermès Birkin bags and other high-end clothes and shoes, reflecting her extravagant lifestyle.

Even if her acting career faces challenges and she retires early at 34, Angelababy can still lead a comfortable life with the massive wealth accumulated over the past decade.
