Amid dating rumors, BTS’s V and BLACKPINK’s Jennie record the highest surge in daily Instagram followers 

V and Jennie top the ranking of K-pop idols with the highest Instagram followers gained in a day. 

According to K-pop Radar, a website that tracks K-pop stars’ SNS data, the personal Instagram account of BTS’s V saw an increase of more than 130,000 followers in 24 hours on May 24th, making him 1st place in the ranking of idols who gain the most daily followers.

V ranked first in for 3 days in a row. During this period, his followers went up by about 500,000. As of May 25th, V reached a total of 42.5 million followers, once again cementing his status as “SNS King”.

V is followed by BLACKPINK’s Jennie in 2nd place. The two have been embroiled in dating rumors lately. On May 24th, Jennie’s Instagram account attracted 93,000 new followers. She has now surpassed a total of 66.7 million followers.

Earlier this week, on May 22nd, a netizen shared a picture presumed to be V and Jennie going on a date in Jeju, sparking dating rumors. Currently, both agencies of V and Jennie still remain silent. 

TWICE members including Tzuyu, Sana, Mina, and Momo made it into the ranking of highest daily followers from 3rd to 6th place. The rest of the Top 10 are BLACKPINK’s Jisoo, BLACKPINK’s group account, TWICE’s Jihyo, and BTS’s group account, respectively. 

In particular, the total number of daily followers on BLACKPINK’s account increased by 60,000, making it soar by 49 places in just a day. BTS’s account also increased by 59,000 followers, climbing the ranking by 25 places.
