All the times BLACKPINK members are victims of privacy invasion

BLACKPINK’s privacy is not respected.

As a top girl group, one of the biggest problems BLACKPINK has to endure is privacy invasion. This has been an ongoing issue that anger the public and fans.

Recently, photos allegedly leaked from personal phones of BLACKPINK members were spread across social media platforms and online communities. Not only dating photos believed to be Jennie and BTS’s V, unreleased photos of Lisa, Jisoo, and Rosé also surfaced. This has sparked a theory that BLACKPINK members’ iCloud or private Instagram accounts were hacked.

Based on the similarities between the leaked photos and actual photos of BLACKPINK members, many netizens believe these photos were not edited but somehow leaked. This has raised concerns over BLACKPINK’s privacy being severely invaded.

A male fan once caused a controversy when paying $30,000 to put up a billboard near YG’s building to ask Jennie out on a dinner date. Although this man claimed he was not a sasaeng fan, his disturbing and excessive action still faced much backlash from fans.

Moreover, the crazy fan hacked and took over Jennie’s second Instagram account. Because the private space where she shared daily moments with fans was stolen, the female idol had to ask them to leave her account alone. Jennie’s reaction made her fans sad and angry.

BLACKPINK members seldom have time to go on vacation because of their busy schedules. However, rabid fans still annoyed Rosé. A fan took and shared a snapshot of BLACKPINK’s main vocalist at a resort on social media. As a result, many people came to this resort. The female idol had to use the hotel’s private entryway while on vacation since she was bothered.

Lisa was also a “victim,” despite the fact that all she wanted was a relaxing vacation. The owner of a cafe immediately sold the items that the Thai female idol used with offensive words. This attitude infuriated and irritated netizens.

The attack from sasaeng fans affected not only BLACKPINK members but their families as well. Because of the crazy fans and anti-fans rushing into Jisoo’s sister’s Instagram account, she had to delete all the pictures on her feed. This is also how the family protected the female idol from malicious comments.

Fans were concerned and upset after learning that BLACKPINK’s personal lives had been breached. Fans believe that YG must act promptly to address this issue and protect the girls.
