Kpop girl group Dreamcatcher will continue activities with a full member lineup after their contract renewal.
On November 16th, the agency of girl group Dreamcatcher, Dreamcatcher Company, said, “We inform you that all Dreamcatcher members (JiU, SuA, Siyeon, Handong, Yoohyeon, Dami, Gahyeon) have recently signed contract renewals. Based on trust with the company, everyone agreed to renew even before the expiration of the existing contract.”
The agency also added, “We will continue to do our best to support Dreamcatcher so that they can grow even more in line with their domestic and global progress. We ask for your support and love for the seven members who will grow further with Dreamcatcher Company.”
In the case of JiU, SuA, Siyeon, Yoohyeon, and Dami, who first debuted as MINX in 2014, they have been with Dreamcatcher Company for about 9 years, including the training period, so this renewal is based on strong trust and loyalty. As a result, expectations are high for their partnership in the future.
Dreamcatcher appeared in the music industry in January 2017 and became the first Kpop girl group to challenge the rock metal genre, at the same time drew attention with their unprecedented concept. With “Nightmare”, “Dystopia” and the recent “Apocalypse”, Dreamcatcher boasts a unique worldview by dealing with environmental issues. In 2022, they also won first place on a music program 1924 days after their debut with the title song “MAISON”, proving their perseverance.
As evidence of this constant growth, Dreamcatcher has released the special album “Raid of Dream”, the 5th mini album “Dystopia: Lose Myself”, the 6th mini album “Dystopia: Road to Utopia”, the 2nd regular album “Apocalypse: Save us”, and the 7th mini album “Apocalypse: Save us”. They also topped the US iTunes worldwide album chart, and achieved a ticket sales rate of 92% for all concerts for the American leg of their world tour, with concerts held in eight US cities and Mexico City.
With their contract renewal, Dreamcatcher, who successfully completed a concert in Berlin, Germany, will continue their world tour with a performance in Tilburg, Netherlands on November 17th. The Europe leg of DREAMCATCHER [Apocalypse: Follow us] 2022 World Tour will also include concerts in Warsaw (Poland) on November 20th, London (England) on November 22nd, and Paris (France) on November 24th.
