AKMU Suhyun expressed a complex attitude to one of her early releases, “Is It Ramen?”, drawing attention

The singer reluctantly called the song an “ugly past”.

AKMU Lee Su-hyun appeared as a special DJ on MBC FM4U’s “Kim Shin-young’s Noon Song of Hope,” which aired on Monday 14th during DJ Kim Shin-young’s time-off for vacation.

The special DJ Su-hyun sighed when a listener applied for AKMU’s “Is It Ramen?” while she was hosting the “Tail-to-Tail Song” section. She said, “This seems to be a song from about nine years ago. Because ‘Don’t Cross Your Legs’ marks its 10th anniversary, and ‘Is it Ramen?’ came out during the audition the following year, so I think it’s a song from nine years ago.”

Upon the request, Su-hyun said, “Should I say it’s an ugly past? If you listen to it, you’ll think it’s cute, but there’s a voice that only I know. I think I wanted to sound unique when I was young. I just couldn’t hear it. I appreciate your request, but I won’t play the song”. Her response quickly drew laughter for the decisiveness.
