Ahn Eun-jin And Lee Se-young Jointly Received Top Excellence Award At 2023 MBC Drama Awards

The 2023 MBC Drama Awards was held on the evening of December 30th. This year, Lee Se-young of “The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract” and Ahn Eun-jin of “My Dearest” were announced as co-winners of Top Excellence Award, Actress in a miniseries.

Taking the stage, Lee Se-young said, “It snowed a lot today and the weather will be so cloudy tomorrow, so I don’t think I will be able to see the last sunlight of 2023. However, on January 1st, the day after tomorrow, the sky will become clear within a very few hours difference so we can see the first sunrise of the new year”, adding “I hope all the people who are attending the ceremony and viewers will spend 2024 like a main character who knows the ending in advance”, completing her short acceptance speech.

Ahn Eun-jin began her speech with the famous line of “My Dearest”, “Gil-chae is here”. She then honestly confessed, “Around this time last year, I was practicing the script with friends, and there were many times when I thought, ‘What should I do to run away?’”. Ahn Eun-jin also expressed her gratitude toward her co-star Namkoong Min, saying “Just as Gil-chae and Jang-hyun went through so many joys and sorrows, I and senior Namkoong Min also experienced the same things. I’m so thankful and I think we made a lot of happy memories. I also gained strength to move forward”.

In the middle of her speech, the actress nervously commented, “I thought a lot about what to say but couldn’t remember anything. Is this the special thing about this place?”, Lastly, she cutely said, “I’ll continue to act even when I get older, so don’t get tired of watching me and please look forward to my future projects”.
