Actor Ahn Bo-hyun expressed his thoughts after tvN’s Monday-Tuesday drama “Military Prosecutor Doberman”.
On April 27th, Ahn Bo-hyun said through his agency FN Entertainment, “It’s so bad that I now have to say goodbye to the work. I was able to grow up more and met many good people. There were lots of pressures, but I tried to share my concerns with the writer and PD”, adding, “I’m also grateful to all the staff, my fellow actors and the viewers. It was my honor to be with everyone on Mondays and Tuesdays through ‘Military Prosecutor Doberman’”.
“Military Prosecutor Doberman”, which ended on the 26th, tells about Do Bae-man (Ahn Bo-hyun), who became a military prosecutor for money, and Cha Woo-in (Jo Bo-ah), who became a military prosecutor for revenge, breaking down the evil forces in the military environment and growing into true military prosecutors.
In the end, Do Bae-man and Cha Woo-in confirmed their feelings for each other, and the villain Noh Hwa-young (Oh Yeon-soo) received the death penalty.
According to Nielsen Korea’s release, the final episode achieved a successful ending with its average nationwide rating surpassing 10%.
Ahn Bo-hyun also gained favorable reviews for his perfect performance playing the first leading role in his career.
The actor recalled, “It was amazing to try the genre that deals with military courts for my first leading role. Do Bae-man is a character who has a vague interpretation of good and evil. I tried to put myself into Do Bae-man. Later I gradually became Do Bae-man”.
He added, “Realizing my own faults and sincerely asking for forgiveness from the victims helped me grow up. It was cool to show the appearance when putting down my pride”.
Mentioning the chasing scene with Noh Tae-nam (Kim Woo-seok) as his most memorable scene, Ahn Bo-hyun said, “In episode 6, I went to the dock to find Noh Tae-nam who stowed away. I suggested jumping into the sea. It was such a cold day and I made a big decision. I’m proud that the scene came out better than I thought”.
Ahn Bo-hyun revealed that his chemistry with his fellow actors was perfect. He explained, “It had so much fun since our legal office family members were all friends of the same age. We monitored each other and posted interesting scenes on our SNS”, adding, “The seniors led us to act in a comfortable atmosphere. I also discussed with them the direction of portraying my character.”
Lastly, Ahn Bo-hyun said, “This is a work that I will never forget. It was so interesting to challenge a new genre and play Do Bae-man”. He also promised, “It’s my first time playing a military prosecutor, so I’m really thankful that everyone enjoyed the drama so much. In the future, I will do my best to show better acting without losing my initial motivations”.
