After announcing to focus on solo careers, BTS members will reportedly reunite at this event 

BTS, which has been caught up in rumors of a temporary suspension of group activities and disbandment, delivered good news to the fans.

The Busan Ilbo reported on June 16th that BTS, as a whole, has accepted the offer from Busan Mayor Park Hyung-jun to promote the 2030 Busan World Expo as official ambassadors. 

Accordingly, the Busan Metropolitan Government plans to win the 2nd Competition Presentation (PT) of the International Exhibitions Bureau (BIE) to be held in Paris, France on June 20th and 21st. Currently, ahead of the 2nd PT, Busan is expected to be in an advantageous position to host the Expo as BTS, the world’s most popular group, will be participating as the Expo ambassador.

Mayor Park Hyung-jun affirmed in an interview with the Busan Daily on the same day, “With Actor Lee Jung-jae, virtual human ‘ROZY’ and BTS, the interest and enthusiasm for the 2030 Busan World Expo will greatly amplify.”

Earlier on June 15th, there were a series of reports of the temporary suspension of BTS’ group activities. In response, BTS members Jungkook and V said, “We are not disbanding. We will do individual activities and do group activities as well,” they explained.

BTS’ agency Big Hit Music also made its official position on the same day. Big Hit Music said, “The members are going to do a lot of solo activities in the future, but they are going to continue their group activities as well,” adding, “They are already scheduled to appear on music shows while other group activities are just not organized yet. This doesn’t mean they won’t have any group activities anymore.”
