Female Streamer in hot water over idol-related remarks in the past, “SM and JYP idols came to my house”
Famous AfreecaTV female streamer Kim Ha Kong argued with K-pop fans when her past comments about idols were brought to light.
On March 4th, an article titled “Wow, seems like this BJ is hanging out with JYP and SM idols + they’re Visual members” was posted on the online community Nate Pann.
The author of the post, A, claimed that Kim Ha Kong directly said, “JYP and SM idols came to my house when they had free time. At that time, another BJ didn’t even look at or talk to that male idol.”
In response to the article, netizens commented, “Why are you talking about it if you’re not going to say who it is,” “I don’t like it when people make claims without showing evidence,” and “That BJ said she played games with them quite often and hung out with idol members who are good at bowling,” etc.
Earlier in November of last year, BJ Kim Ha Kong made revelations about idols during a live broadcast. After her remarks were brought up, she deleted the related YouTube video, but fans continued to raise suspicions about JYP and SM idols based on her comments. Since then, many hardcore fans have flocked to Kim Ha Kong’s Instagram account and engaged in disputes with him through direct messages (DMs).
Kim Ha Kong shared some of the messages he received from idol fans, including comments such as “You should have kept quiet,” “Didn’t you reveal everything except the name?”, “Is this not that idol, from that group?”, “If you upload this, every group will become the target,” “What groups and who are they?”, etc.
Later, Kim Hak Kong posted an Instagram story saying, “I’m really sorry to those who are getting cursed at because of my words, but it’s funny that people keep assuming and speculating about who I might be referring to as if they know who’s right and wrong among themselves, even though I didn’t mention anyone specifically.”
In the end, Kim Ha Kong said about the idols mentioned by fans, “Not them. I’m sorry for my remarks”. In another Instagram story, she said, “I’m sorry for getting excited. Sometimes I find this kind of thing fun. I’m sorry for cursing with my mouth. But I’ve checked all the comments on forums and Twitter, and no one could guess the people I was talking about. So you can think that none of the people mentioned so far are the ones.”
However, Kim Ha Kong drew attention because she did not withdraw her statement.
Meanwhile, Kim Ha Kong made her debut on AfreecaTV in 2018 and gained attention by winning Rookie Award the following year. Recently, she also introduced her boyfriend through a recent broadcast.
