On MBC FM4U’s ‘Kim Shin-young’s Hope Song at Noon,’ aespa’s Karina and Ningning made an appearance
On the broadcast on November 13th of MBC FM4U’s ‘Kim Shin-young’s Hope Song at Noon,’ Karina and Ningning introduced aespa’s new album and shared different stories.
DJ Kim Shin-young asked, “You’ve been doing music shows all weekend, aren’t you tired?” Ningning replied, “It’s okay. I find the activities very enjoyable,” and Karina added, “I love doing music shows. It’s so much fun after a long time.”
Kim Shin-young continued, “Do you feel extra strength when you hear the cheers from fans?” Karina responded, “Exactly. Among the fanchant this time, there’s a ‘Yah, yah’ during the chorus, and it gives us so much energy. I really like the cheers this time. We received a lot of strength from the fans.”
Kim Shin-young mentioned, “aespa’s second fan meeting is taking place this Friday at Kyung Hee University Peace Hall. Is that also aespa’s 3rd debut anniversary?” Ningning and Karina confirmed, “Yes, it is. Time flies. It’s already the 3rd anniversary.”
In response to Kim Shin-young’s question about the dress code, Karina said, “We jokingly suggested half jokingly to wear costumes. We asked fans to come dressed as their favorite characters or drama main characters. We’re not sure if they’ll do it.”
Celebrating the release of aespa’s fourth mini-album ‘Drama,’ Kim Shin-young commented, “It’s much more intense than ‘Spicy’ last time.” Karina introduced the title track ‘Drama,’ saying, “It’s a song with a confident attitude that all stories begin with me. It’s twice as enjoyable when watching the performance along with listening. So, watching it with the performance is recommended.”
Kim Shin-young asked, “What do you think is the difficulty level of the choreography for this stage?” Ningning replied, “The choreography is really fun this time,” and Karina added, “It’s exciting to perform.”
Ningning explained, “We started learning the choreography for ‘Drama’ even before the comeback, planning to come back with it instead of ‘Spicy’,” and Karina said, “It finally escaped to the world after being delayed.”
Kim Shin-young mentioned ‘Hot Air Balloon’ as her pick, saying, “It’s lively, and the melody line is not difficult, so it’s good.” When asked about the fans’ reaction to ‘Don’t Blink,’ Karina said, “Fans really loved this song. When we introduced it at our Seoul concert, saying it’s a song where we tease and asking them to close their eyes and watch only us, fans loved it.”
Kim Shin-young responded, “The stage flirting has begun.” When Kim Shin-young praised the last song ‘You,’ Ningning said, “I really love it. It’s a tear-jerking song,” and Karina explained, “It’s a fan song. When you listen to this song, you will cry.”
When asked if they would perform ‘You’ at the fan meeting, Karina replied, “Probably. Then it will be the song’s first public performance.”
