aespa to enter the US market in earnest, global partnership with Warner Records: new album is coming

Kpop girl group aespa will join hands with the world-famous music label Warner Records to advance into the global market, including the United States.

On June 1st, aespa’s agency SM Entertainment announced that it had signed a global partnership with Warner Records for distribution and marketing of aespa’s music contents.

According to the agency, aespa will release their second mini-album “Girls” in Korea and the US simultaneously on July 8th, and start full-fledged promotions for their comeback. Prior to this, on June 24th, the group will release the official audio for their English single “Life’s Too Short”, which was previously performed at music festival Coachella.

Regarding the news, Warner Records co-chairs Tom Corson and Aaron Bay-Schuck said: “aespa has already made a huge impact around the world under the leadership of SM’s founder Lee Soo Man. We are honored to have aepsa be part of the Warner Records family and look forward to achieving unprecedented successes together.”

Meanwhile, SM Co-CEOs Lee  Sung Soo and Tak Young Jun shared: “SM is well aware of Warner Records’ glorious history with global artists, and we are grateful for Warner’s trust in the future of aepsa. We will continue to show aespa’s unique innovative music and work together with Warner to make aespa grow into a world-class group.”

Finally, aespa also voiced their feelings at this collaboration, saying: “We are very happy to be part of the Warner Records family and grateful to start the next chapter of aespa. Please look forward to our upcoming activities, including a new album to be released this summer.”

aepsa’s second mini-album “Girls” has announced its official release date on July 8th, and preorder sales will start from June 2nd at various online and offline music stores.
