SM Entertainment has confirmed that aespa will attend the 2023 Cannes International Film Festival as the Korean ambassador for Chopard.
Chopard is a Swiss luxury brand that specializes in high-end jewelry and watches. The brand is known for its exquisite craftsmanship and attention to detail. Since 1998, Chopard has been an official partner of the Cannes Film Festival.
In 2022, aespa was selected as the new global ambassador for Chopard, making headlines. And recently, Chopard’s CEO Caroline Scheufele has revealed exciting news that aespa would be attending the 2023 Cannes Film Festival as the first Korean ambassador.
In his recent interview, Chopard’s CEO expressed his admiration for aespa, stating that the group has a huge influence not only in Korea but also in Asia. He also praised the connection between aespa’s music and other elements, comparing it to Chopard’s “Happy Diamonds” collection.
