aespa sings theme song for Netflix’s “Rebel Moon – Part Two: The Scargiver”

aespa participated in the “Inspired By” EP of Netflix’s movie “Rebel Moon – Part Two: The Scargiver”. At midnight on April 4th, they released “Die Trying”, a collaboration with DJ TOKiMONSTA, and received warm attention from global music fans.

“Die Trying”, sung by aespa, is the theme song for the character Nemesis (played by Bae Doona) in the movie. This time’s theme song lineup, released in EP format at midnight on April 5th, includes various global artists such as Canadian singer-songwriter Jessie Reyez, Latin pop producer Tainy, Dominican rapper Tokischa, Black Coffee and Kordhell.

“Rebel Moon – Part Two: The Scargiver”, set to be released on April 19th, takes place on the moon of Veldt where Kora and the crew of warriors venture to help the farmers to defend and fight for their home against the Motherworld. Directed by Zack Snyder, known for “300” and “Man of Steel”, the movie stars Sofia Boutella, Djimon Hounsou, Ed Skrein, Michiel Huisman and Bae Doona.

aespa has become known as a “global OST powerhouse” by participating in numerous OST projects, from the theme song “Hold On Tight” for Apple’s original movie “Tetris”, the opening theme song “We Go” for the TV animation “Pocket Monsters: Liko and Roy’s Departure” to the OST “Get Goin'” for Apple TV+’s musical series “Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock”.

According to their agency SM Entertainment, aespa is preparing for a comeback in May.
