ADOR Asked Netizens To Refrain From Malicious Comments After NewJeans’ Minji Apologized For Not Knowing ‘Kalguksu’

On January 16th, ADOR made a notice saying, “We apologize and appreciate the fans who have been paying a lot of attention to the members of NewJeans recently, while once again making a notice about malicious comment and slander spreading.”

“We had announced on December 29 last year through the ‘Guidance of Legal Response to Artist Rights Infringement’. Through continuous monitoring, we are constantly responding to acts such as malicious comments, malicious slander, insults, and defamation by spreading false information related to the members of the NewJeans.”

“However, we hope you will refrain from further indiscriminate speculation and malicious slander, not because of such legal action notices, but out of respect. ADOR will continue to strive for the rights and interests of the members of NewJeans,” it added.

Earlier in the day, NewJeans’ Minji apologized for asking what kalguksu was in a YouTube video. Previously, she was criticized for not knowing this traditional and popular Korean dish on various online communities, and Minji expressed her frustration in a recent live broadcast with her fans. This time, however, netizens criticized Minji’s attitude, which resulted in her making an apology.
