Hollywood actress Yvonne Orji revealed that she is a devout advocate of abstinence before marriage and shared her beliefs regarding religion
The “abstinence confession” video of Yvonne Orji, who appeared on the “Dear Chelsea” podcast in September, has recently been receiving a lot of attention online.
Podcast host Chelsea (48) asked 39-year-old Yvonne, “Are you still a virgin?” Yvonne acknowledged, “I am.” In response, Chelsea commented, “Oh my god! I love this. This is the most original guest we ever had on! And what are you, 39? That dam is going to break one day, baby.”
Chelsea continued, “You’re going to hit your sexual peak when you start having sex, so yeah, you’re going to need a couple of men, probably.” Yvonne cleverly responded, “Then people will tease, ‘Yvonne went from being a virgin to polyamory.’“
Previously, in an interview with the foreign media outlet “People”, Yvonne Orji shared the fact that she’s a dedicated Christian who plans on remaining a virgin until marriage. She said, “I’m open, because why not? I’m grounded in who I am. Before any of (the fame) happened, I sat down with myself and with God and thought, when I make it, how do you want me to represent you while I’m here? It was like, OK, I know why I’m here. It’s to make you proud.”
Yvonne Orji explained why she openly professes her commitment to abstinence, “People ask about it because they’re curious, or they may not understand. How will they ever get understand if I don’t talk about it? I can inform your curiosity, as opposed to everyone being in the dark and just sort of creating their own narrative about it.“
Meanwhile, Yvonne Orji appeared in various works such as the drama “Insecure” and the film “The Blackening”. It was known that she dated NFL player Emmanuel Acho from 2018 to 2019.
