Actress Once Removed from a Drama Due to Poor Skills: Taking a Break from Acting for Over a Year, Now Having a Career Change?

This actress was removed from the cast of a popular drama a year ago, and has gone on a hiatus from acting ever since. 

Park Hae Eun is a rookie actress born in 1997, gaining attention for her pretty appearance. Unfortunately, her career is rather lackluster. Despite having debuted for 3 years, she hasn’t left a good impression on the audience.

The most memorable event in Park Hae Eun’s 3 years in the industry was when she was reportedly removed from the main cast of “Alchemy of Souls” in 2020 due to weak acting skills. Initially, she was selected as the female lead, even finishing the script reading and shooting the first scenes alongside Lee Jae Wook, Arin, and Minhyun. 

However, she later left the project, being replaced by Jung So Min. Immediately, Korean media reported that Park Hae Eun was fired from the drama due to lacking acting skills. While actors dropping out of projects is nothing new, the reason being “weak acting” could be considered a first in the history of the K-drama industry.

Both tvN and Park Hae Eun’s management company at the time didn’t provide any official response regarding the rookie actress being removed from the cast. They only issued general responses, such as the fact that Park Hae Eun felt a lot of pressure playing the lead role in a major drama, which led to such a sudden change.

In 2022, Park Hae Eun was selected for the supporting role of Yoon Sun in tvn’s “Adamas”. However, this is also her only project up to the present time. Since then, Park Hae Eun has been on a hiatus from acting. Even her web drama “Villain Mom,” which finished filming in the middle of last year, has been postponed from airing until now.

Recently, instead of acting, Park Hae Eun started her own YouTube channel last week. She creates videos introducing her daily life and habits. Audiences are wondering if this might be the new direction for the rookie actress.
