According to reports, Daniel Henney married Japanese-American model and actress Ru Kumagai on October 20th. The actor, who has been so well-loved by Korean fans with his manly but gentle image in “My Lovely Samsoon” (2005) and “Confidential Assignment 2” (2022), has finally tied the knot.
Daniel Henney’s wife is a model and actress who is active mainly in Hollywood. Some of her representative works are “9-1-1”, “Only The Brave”, “Good Trouble”, “Ryan Hansen Solves Crimes on Television”, “Interpersonal”, “The Forest Of Love”, etc. Ru Kumagai used to have the stage name Ruika Rose. Although the actress is not well-known among Korean fans, she made headlines when her dating rumors with Daniel Henney arose in 2018.
Regarding the marriage news, Daniel Henney’s agency said, “The two were friends when the dating rumors broke out but they developed into lovers after that. They recently held a wedding ceremony with the attendance of their families. We ask for your understanding that we couldn’t deliver this news earlier.”
Prior to Daniel Henney, actor Song Joong-ki also married an unfamiliar face to Korean fans. While Daniel Henney held a private wedding, Song Joong-ki only announced their marriage registration.
Song Joong-ki’s wife Katy Louise Saunders was a British actress. The two officially registered their marriage on January 30th and Katy gave birth to their son in Rome, Italy in June. Joining the promotion of the movie “Hwaran”, Song Joong-ki couldn’t hide his happiness after becoming a father and expressed extraordinary love for his wife and their baby.
