A K-drama rising actor who shocks viewers by transforming from an idealistic pastor to a drug smuggler in a year

This actor’s transformation between his two latest roles shows off his amazing range. 

Actor Noh Sang Hyun, who is best known for his role as Baek Isak in “Pachinko” on Apple TV+, is a former model.

Noh Sang Hyun was born in 1990 and debuted in 2015. He showed his talent as a fashion pictorial model and boasted an impressive physique of 181 cm.

He has taken on both good and evil roles. In 2015, he started out with a minor role in the movie “The Wicked Are Alive”, followed by the web drama “We Are Peaceful Brothers” in 2017, leaving a good impression on the public. 

In the 2022 Apple TV+’s original series “Pachinko”, he was cast as Baek Isak, a humble and righteous pastor from North Korea who cares for Sunja with good feelings.

Noh Sang Hyun plays Ri Moon Seong, a smuggler from North Korea and a fighter of a Korean-Chinese drug organization. He is believed to be the grandson of Geum Sun (Go Doo Shim) in North Korea. He appears as a bloodthirsty man who travels between North Korea and China and only cares about money.

In “Curtain Call”, Ri Moon Seong is a key player who is the root for various tensions and twists. Viewers are looking forward to Noh Sang Hyun’s charismatic portrayal in the coming episodes.
