Before becoming an actor, Lee Jong-won was a model. He enlisted in the military early and served as an assistant in Division 30. During his military life, he was called by the name “flour powder assistant” because his skin was so white and it did not get tanned easily.

After getting discharged from the army in March 2015, Lee Jong-won turned to acting and debuted as an actor in 2018. Thanks to his early military service, the actor has been active steadily without a break. He has played various roles in different projects step by step, from minor roles in web dramas to supporting roles and then leading roles.
