Actor Kim Min Kyu to enlist, production presentation of “Sacred Idol” will be pre-recorded
Actor Kim Min Kyu will soon join the military.
tvN’s new drama “Sacred Idol” announced on Nov 25th, “The production presentation of our drama will be pre-recorded due to the main actor Kim Min Kyu’s military enlistment schedule.”
“Sacred Idol” is based on Naver’s popular web novel of the same name about Rembrary, who comes from another world but suddenly becomes an unpopular K-Pop idol of this world, and his journey to familiarize himself with the disgusting entertainment industry.
“Sacred Idol” stars actors with impressive acting skills and a wide range of on-screen presence, ranging from Kim Min Kyu, Ko Bo Gyeol, and Lee Jang Woo to actors with strong presences such as Tak Jae Hoon and Ye Ji Won.
Kim Min Kyu will play the other world’s top authority, High Priest Rembrary, who suddenly woke up one day in the body of Woo Yeon Woo, a member of the 5-year-old failed idol group “Wild Animal”. Ko Bo Gyeol plays Kim Dal, a manager of the group “Wild Animal.”
On top of that, Lee Jang Woo plays Shin Jo Woon, vice chairman of Korea’s largest entertainment company. Tak Jae Hoon plays Sun Woo Sil, a vocal god with a very different life on and off screen, and Ye Ji Won played Lim Sun Ja, CEO of the agency of the group “Wild Animal.”
“Sacred Idol” will premiere in the first half of 2023.
