“Bloody Heart” was off to a promising start. 

A follow-up to “Crazy Love”, starring Lee Joon, Kang Han Na, Jang Hyuk, Park Ji Yeon, Heo Sung Tae, KBS2’s new historical drama “Bloody Heart” aired its first episode on May 2nd.

According to Nielsen Korea, episode 1 of “Bloody Heart” recorded an average nationwide rating of 6.3%, marking an increase of 1.7% compared to the finale of “Crazy Love” with 4.6%. This successful premiere also makes “Bloody Heart” an unrivaled drama in its Monday time slot.

On SNS, the viewers have also given a lot of praise for episode 1 of “Bloody Heart”, leaving comments such as, “The first episode already made me cry, the setting and visuals are mesmerizing”. In particular, the beauty of the two leads, Lee Joon and Kang Han Na, have also received many compliments.

Bloody Heart” is a fictional historical drama that depicts the bloody political romance between Lee Tae (Lee Joon), a king who must give up the woman he loves to survive, and Yoo Jung (Kang Han Na), a woman who has to become a queen to survive. The drama was introduced as “Romeo and Juliet of Joseon era”, hinting at a tearful love story between its main couple.
