A Surprise Guest to Perform at TWICE’s Concerts ft. Fans’ Mixed Reactions

Embarking on their 5th world tour, “Ready To Be,” since April 2023, TWICE has captivated audiences across Asia, North America, and Europe with their amazing shows.

The success of the tour has prompted the addition of more concert dates, including special shows in South America and Las Vegas titled “Ready To Be Once More.”

Before the concert, an unexpected announcement was made, revealing that JYP’s upcoming girl group, VCHA, will serve as the opening act for TWICE’s concerts in Las Vegas, Brazil, and Mexico.

VCHA, a girl group formed through the survival show “America 2 Korea”, created a buzz with their pre-debut single album in September 2023. Their official debut is scheduled for January 26, 2024.

The news sparked discontent among some TWICE’s fans, who accused JYP of capitalizing on TWICE’s success. The criticism was directed towards the company rather than VCHA. The fact that the Las Vegas stop is TWICE’s largest American stadium concert only fueled fans’ anger.

Conversely, some fans shared their enthusiasm for VCHA, emphasizing that this opportunity is a significant stepping stone for the rookie group. In addition, VCHA is set to promote in America and having an opening act is common for artists in America.
