Some Rosé fans threatened Allissa Shin because she looks similar to the vocalist of the group BlackPink.
Recently, the Korean-American female model shared on her Instagram that she is feeling worried and scared when she is constantly harassed by many fans of Rosé.
Accordingly, Allissa Shin posted evidence such as screenshots of messages from a user trying to find a way to harm her. However, Allissa‘s image was removed by Instagram because of the issue of violating community rules, so she recounted her story in detail.
“Instagram is taking down my stories so I will explain here. I posted a series of screenshots I received where someone was demanding this young girl to harm herself in order to get my address. This person was explaining to her, indetail, everything she is doing from following me to the airport to stabbing me,” Shin said.
The female model also frankly expressed that she was no longer annoyed when she was said to intentionally imitate Rosé. But she can’t ignore the haters that are always stalking her because things have spiraled out of control. “It’s people physically forcing me into being unsafe at home or wherever I am, harming me, and putting those I love in danger,” Allissa said.
Allissa also explained that the reason she shared the incident was because haters tried to contact her followers on social media. In particular, Shin uses the word “doxxing“, which means when someone tries to find and publicly reveal another’s identity and private information, often with malicious intent.
Allissa also calls her post a PSA (public service announcement), to warn her followers of what could happen or harm people. “Never join the game of people like this, especially if it involves risking your life. I called the police about someone stealing information and threatening to harm my loved ones,” she added.
It is known that this is not the first time this has happened. Two years ago, Allissa shared that she was harassed and accused of copying Rosé. She asked people to respect her privacy and stop spreading fake news about her.
In 2020, Allissa first appeared in many newspapers after Blinks noticed the similarity in her facial features and hairstyle with the BlackPink’s main vocalist.
Not long after, some fans accused the Korean-born model of taking advantage of Rosé‘s popularity for personal gain. In response, Allissa explained that this was not her intention and that it was not her fault that she looked like a BlackPink member. At the same time, she also thinks that she is not like Rosé. However, since netizens continuously discussed and compared Allissa‘s appearance with the global female idol, the number of Allissa followers has increased significantly and she has received more attention than before.
On the other hand, in the past, the ‘On the ground’ singer was also compared to a Filipino actress named Kisses Delavin.
