BTS has just met fans and completed their offline concert in Los Angeles, the U.S, for the first time after 2 years.
BTS held ‘BTS PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE – LA’ at Sofi Stadium in LA on the 27th and 28th of November. It was estimated that their concerts attracted about 106,000 audiences to fill the stadium. Especially, the photo of a grandfather fan attending the concert among global ARMYs drew keen attention.
On November 29th, a Twitter user called @kimseokjinsbby took a picture at the concert hall and shared it online. In the released photo, a grandfather wearing a cap was enjoying the performances. He was holding an A4 paper with BTS members’ names in English written on it in his hand.
Netizen @Grlwluv⁷D1/2/3/4-JB, who was sitting close to him during the concert, explained, “The grandfather and his wife wrote BTS names down on the paper because they wanted to follow the fanchant. He said he is 76 years old and might be the oldest ARMY in this fandom. He’s so cool.”
Another netizen also applauded the grandfather fan, saying, “He has my respect”, “They didn’t make any mistake in following the fanchant or the songs” . More photos of elderly ARMYs who came to watch the concert were also uploaded. This love for idols that goes beyond ages has deeply touched many people.
Meanwhile, BTS will continue their series of LA concerts at Sofi Stadium with 2 more performances on the 1st and 2nd of December. In addition, the last show on December 2nd can be streamed through a live link if you purchase the ticket from Weverse Shop.
