“A Good Day to Be a Dog” Park Gyu-young “This kind of bright and cute rom-com was a first for me”
On Jan 10th, “A Good Day to Be a Dog” starring Park Gyu-young came to an end. The drama is about the romance between a woman and a man, the woman who is cursed to transform into a dog when she kisses someone, and the man who is the only person who can break the curse but is afraid of dogs due to a childhood trauma.
Park Gyu-young played the role of Han Hae-na, a high school Korean language teacher who turns into a dog when she kisses someone.
Park Gyu-young maximized Han Hae-na’s charm with her brown short hair, warm styling and lively acting. Despite facing various challenges, she portrayed the character convincingly, providing strength to Jin Seo-won (Cha Eun-woo) with her always cheerful demeanor.

Q. What are your thoughts on concluding “A Good Day to Be a Dog”?
It was a very happy project from start to finish, so my wish was to deliver positive energy to viewers through the broadcasts. I’m extremely grateful if I was able to convey even a little bit of positive energy. Thank you for watching.
Q. There has been much praise for the “Park Gyu-young-style romantic comedy (rom-com)”. What are your thoughts on your rom-com acting?
This kind of bright and cute rom-com was a first for me. I’ll continue to work hard to show even better performances in the future.
Q. What aspects did you pay attention to while portraying Hae-na/Mak-soon?
Hae-na is the future version of Mak-soon, and Mak-soon is the past version of Hae-na. I tried to show that the two characters share similar fates.
Q. What is the most memorable reaction to the drama?
A lot of dogs appeared in the drama. As they were so cute during filming, I hoped that viewers would enjoy them as much as I did. It was nice to receive feedback from acquaintances and internet comments saying that the dogs were cute.
