A former “Produce 48” trainee suddenly appeared on KBS News… What happened?

Singer Shiroma Miru, who was a member of the famous Japanese girl group NMB48 and a contestant on Mnet’s “Produce 48”, was recently seen on Korean news.

The broadcast of KBS’s “News 7”, which aired on September 29th, reported the news that the regular route between Jeju Island and Japan will be resumed starting in November.

On the broadcast, KBS showed the visit of a group of Japanese tourists and also released an interview with Shiroma Miru.

In the interview, Shiroma Miru said, “I watched the drama ‘Extraordinary Attorney Woo’ and saw Jeju Island. Then I thought, ‘I must visit that place’”, adding “I want to let Japanese people know more about the good things about Jeju and Korea through my SNS account and Youtube channel”.

She added, “This is my first time coming to Jeju Island, and I have high expectations for the beautiful scenery and food there. I want to try a lot of delicious foods and come back here again”.

Meanwhile, Shiroma Miru debuted as a member of NMB48 in 2011 and graduated from the group last year. In July, she made her solo debut by releasing the album “Shine Bright”.
