This former Japanese idol causes a stir by marrying a male fan who is 27 years older than her.
Yuki Tomoe, 21 years old, debuted in an idol group in November 2018, while she was still a high school student. However, in September 2019, she announced her retirement, citing difficulties in balancing her studies and career.
In April 2020, Yuki Tomoe made headlines by getting married to Mitsuo, a male fan of hers. Currently, he runs his own channel where he showcases his love for food.
During a broadcast, Yuki honestly talked about the process leading to their marriage and the reactions of those around them. Yuki described her husband as someone who was referred to as an “otaku” (a person with obsessive interests, typically in anime and manga).
She said that before they met, her husband was more interested in her group members. However, he became fascinated by Yuki during her idol activities afterward. As they met through live performances and broadcasts as an idol and a fan, they began to like each other. Yuki then revealed that she confessed her feelings to him, saying, “I grew to like him more.”
Yuki did not date during her idol activities, and their relationship only developed into a romantic one after she graduated and introduced him to her parents and asked for their permission. While listening to the story, the MC asked, “He is 27 years older, so how did your parents react?”
