A 10-year-old girl is only 18kg because of anorexia, Dr. Oh Eun Young: “There’s no prescription for this”
A child, who suffers from anorexia, recently appeared on “My Golden Kids” to ask for help from Dr. Oh Eun Young.
Channel A’s “My Golden Kids,” which will air on Dec 6th, will feature parents of a 10-year-old daughter who suddenly showed symptoms of anorexia and is only 18kg now.
In the released video, the child can’t even get up alone due to lack of energy. Her mother said, “She only drinks water.” Jang Young Ran was shocked after hearing that, saying, “She refuses to eat food?”
In addition, the little girl continuously skipped meals, saying, “I don’t want to eat now.” Even when her mother begged, “Should I hold your arms and legs and shove this into your mouth?” she cried “I don’t want to eat. I don’t want to gain weight. I hate it so much. I hate getting fat.”
The back of the kid, who weighs only 18kg, is so skinny that her bones can be seen clearly. Seeing that, Hong Hyun Hee exclaimed, “Oh no…”, and went speechless. Dr. Oh Eun Young then said, “Anorexia has the highest mortality rate”, pointing out the problem.
In particular, everyone was shocked when seeing the kid gradually losing her energy and eventually being carried away in an ambulance. Jung Hyung Don said, “It’s now the matter of life or death”. Oh Eun Young said, “There is no prescription today”, adding “This kid’s xxx is the top priority right now”. She also suggested another solution to the problem, raising viewers’ curiosity.
