Japanese actor and singer Miyama Ryoki is facing allegations of an extramarital affair after weekly magazine Shukan Bunshun claimed he had developed a romantic relationship with his Crash Landing on You musical co-star Maria Kano.

According to Shukan Bunshun, Miyama Ryoki and Maria Kano became close while starring together in the stage adaptation of Crash Landing on You. The publication described the alleged relationship as a “forbidden love” and claimed the two met privately several times throughout the musical’s run, including after its opening-night performance.

The magazine reported that on July 12, cast members gathered for dinner after the Tokyo opening performance. According to the report, Maria Kano allegedly remarked during the meal, “When I like someone, I want to start dating them straight away.” The publication further claimed Miyama Ryoki looked at her affectionately during the gathering.

Shukan Bunshun also alleged the pair continued meeting privately afterward and claimed there were multiple overnight absences that fueled speculation about their relationship.
The allegations have generated significant public attention because Miyama Ryoki announced his marriage to actress Shuri in August 2025. The couple welcomed their first child just one month later.

Neither Ryoki, Shuri, nor Maria Kano has commented publicly on the report. As a result, the alleged affair remains an unverified claim reported by Shukan Bunshun, and readers should distinguish between the publication’s allegations and confirmed facts.
