On July 15, YouTube channel Okiki Okk uploaded a video titled “The Airplane Seat That Could Change Your Life.” BIBI, Gabee, and Ji Ye Eun appeared and offered advice on viewers’ relationship concerns.
One viewer wrote that she had been in a long-term relationship for five years and had recently been proposed to by her boyfriend, but the couple had not been intimate for the past two years. She explained that everything else in the relationship worked well except for physical intimacy, leaving her deeply conflicted.
After hearing the story, Gabee immediately said she was against it. BIBI agreed and responded bluntly, saying, “That sounds like a friendship. I can earn my own money. Need someone to talk to? I have friends. Everything else can be fulfilled elsewhere, but physical intimacy is the one thing that only a romantic partner can provide.” She emphasized that intimacy is an essential part of a romantic relationship for her.
Gabee then expressed sympathy for the viewer’s dilemma. She said she understood how difficult it is to break up over sex and that many women might wonder, “Am I being too sexual?” especially after receiving a marriage proposal. She added that the situation was actually harder because everything else in the relationship seemed to fit perfectly.
Ji Ye Eun also empathized with the viewer, noting that it is not easy for two people to be compatible in so many areas, which made the thought of ending a five-year relationship even more painful. BIBI, however, doubled down on her opinion, saying, “For me, I’d leave immediately.”
Gabee offered a more nuanced perspective, explaining that physical intimacy can naturally decrease in long relationships. She joked that if the couple had spent three passionate years together and then taken a two-year “rest period,” it might be understandable. “But if it was always lukewarm from the beginning, that’s a lot harder,” she said, with Ji Ye Eun nodding in agreement.
