aespa member Karina has opened up about one of her biggest physical insecurities, revealing that despite standing 168cm tall, she has unusually short arms for her height.

Karina made the candid confession during the July 12 episode of JTBC’s Please Take Care of My Refrigerator, where she appeared as a guest alongside fellow aespa member Winter.

Speaking to chef Jung Ho Young, Karina joked, “My arms are actually pretty short. Most people don’t notice because I usually keep them bent, but they’re short compared to my height. People with short arms can recognize it right away,” drawing laughter from everyone in the studio.

She went on to explain that she did not realize it when she was younger. “Until middle school, my nickname was ‘Tyrannosaurus Rex,'” she recalled. “I didn’t believe it at first, but one day I compared my arm length with the shortest classmate. I was 168cm tall, while my friend was only in the 140cm range and somehow my arms were even shorter.”

Karina also shared the techniques she uses during performances to make the feature less noticeable. “When I dance, I use my hair a lot,” she explained. “It helps cover my arms and naturally draws people’s attention elsewhere. I also rely heavily on my lower-body movements.”
