Tzuyu of TWICE is set to leave JYP Entertainment after spending 11 years with the agency. According to News1 on July 14, Tzuyu and JYP Entertainment have mutually agreed not to renew her exclusive contract. However, she will continue participating in TWICE’s group activities.
Tzuyu debuted as a member of TWICE in 2015. The group rose to national stardom with hit songs such as “Like OOH-AHH,” “CHEER UP,” and “TT,” earning the nickname of South Korea’s “nation’s girl group.” Tzuyu has been widely loved as TWICE’s lead dancer and one of the group’s visual members.

In 2024, she also made her solo debut with her first mini-album, abouTZU, showcasing her artistry not only as a solo artist but also by contributing to the lyrics of both TWICE songs and her own solo music.
Having built a strong fanbase in South Korea and her home country of Taiwan, Tzuyu is expected to continue expanding her career on the global stage.
Meanwhile, TWICE recently wrapped up its sixth world tour, THIS IS FOR, which successfully concluded after approximately one year.
