On the July 6 broadcast of SBS’s No, But Seriously!, the legendary “beast idol” group 2PM reunited and reflected on memorable moments from their long-running careers.
During the episode, the members revisited Ok Taecyeon’s iconic “ripped-shirt” era. They joked that he became so enthusiastic about tearing his clothes on stage that he would do it even during performances where it wasn’t originally planned, forcing the other members to stop him. The cast even playfully questioned whether broadcast censorship standards were created because of Taecyeon’s performances.
Taecyeon responded with a laugh, revealing that his “shirt-ripping” image followed him into acting. “Because of that image, drama productions would suddenly add scenes where I had to take my shirt off,” he said.
The conversation then turned to the challenges of maintaining an idol image after nearly two decades in the industry. Nichkhun confessed that he was deeply shocked after hearing comments that he had gained weight. “During our concert tour in Japan, I managed my weight by eating only three boiled eggs a day,” he revealed.
Comedian Lee Soo Ji immediately lightened the mood by joking, “Actually, I like that you’ve gained a little weight. It makes you feel closer to me.” Her comment sent the studio into laughter.
Taecyeon also shared a hilarious fan-signing story. He admitted that he once hesitated to act cute during a video-call fan event because he felt embarrassed. Another memorable story came from Jun.K, who recalled being shocked during his military service. According to him, Taecyeon visited the base wearing a military uniform with a squad leader insignia, causing many soldiers to mistake him for a superior officer. Taecyeon defended himself by saying, “I didn’t have time to stop by home first.” But Jun.K added an even funnier detail: “He arrived in a convertible, and the soldiers at the gate even saluted him.” The revelation had the entire set in stitches.
The episode ended with a playful question directed at Taecyeon: among the single members Nichkhun, Jun.K, Wooyoung, and Junho, who seemed most likely to marry last? Taecyeon’s blunt answer shocked everyone. “I don’t think any of them will get married.”
