Co-ed K-pop group KARD has officially announced that it will conclude its group activities after nine years together. On July 6, DSP Media confirmed the news through its official channels, revealing that the group’s upcoming comeback and world tour will serve as KARD’s final activities before bringing their journey to a close.

Before saying goodbye, KARD will release its first full-length studio album, Where To Now? (Part.2): NOWHERE, on July 28. Following the album’s release, the group will embark on a farewell world tour, giving fans one last opportunity to see the quartet perform together.

KARD disbandment

According to DSP Media, the decision was made after extensive discussions with all four members. “After careful discussions with the four members, we mutually agreed to conclude KARD’s journey following these final promotions.”

In its official statement, the agency expressed heartfelt gratitude to the group’s fandom, HIDDEN KARD, for standing by KARD throughout their career. “We sincerely thank HIDDEN KARD for accompanying KARD throughout the years. We also ask for your warm support and encouragement as each member begins a new chapter in their individual careers.” The company also shared its hope that the upcoming album and tour would become lasting memories for fans. “We hope the album and world tour, prepared with all the members’ hearts, will remain precious memories for HIDDEN KARD.”

DSP Media concluded by asking fans to continue supporting the group until the very end. “Please continue to show your unwavering love and support as KARD completes its final activities in the most KARD-like way.”

KARD

KARD officially debuted on July 19, 2017, earning recognition as one of the few successful co-ed groups in modern K-pop. Consisting of BM, J.Seph, Somin, and Jiwoo, the quartet built a dedicated international fanbase with their signature blend of EDM, tropical house, Latin-inspired pop, and powerful performances.

Over the years, KARD released fan-favorite tracks including “Hola Hola,” “Don’t Recall,” “Bomb Bomb,” “Dumb Litty,” “Gunshot,” “Ring The Alarm,” and “ICKY,” establishing a unique musical identity that set them apart in the industry.

The announcement marks the end of an era for HIDDEN KARD, who have supported the group since its debut nearly a decade ago. While KARD’s activities as a group will conclude after the release of Where To Now? (Part.2): NOWHERE and the accompanying world tour, DSP Media confirmed that the members will continue pursuing their own individual paths.

Their final comeback and farewell tour are expected to serve as a celebration of KARD’s nine-year legacy and a heartfelt goodbye to fans around the world.
