Rookie actress Seo Su-min, who is making her acting debut as So Ji Sub’s daughter in SBS’s hit drama Agent Kim Reactivated, is quickly becoming one of Korean entertainment’s breakout stars. As the revenge-action series continues its ratings success, fans have begun revisiting Seo Su-min’s pre-debut content—including a 43-second YouTube video that has now amassed more than 3.28 million views.

Premiering on June 26, SBS’s Agent Kim Reactivated follows an ordinary father who becomes a deadly fighter to rescue his only daughter after she is kidnapped. The drama surpassed 15.7% nationwide ratings by Episode 2, catapulting both the series and its young cast into the spotlight.

Seo Su-min made her official acting debut through the drama, portraying Kim Min-ji, the daughter of Kim Do-hyeon (So Ji-sub). In the story, Min-ji becomes the victim of school violence before being abducted by a mysterious organization—an incident that forces her father to return to his dangerous past as an elite operative.

Before entering the acting industry, Seo Su-min first attracted public attention as a YouTuber. Born in 2007, she uploaded a casual 43-second video titled “Taking Off My Glasses and Getting Comfortable With the Camera” to her personal YouTube channel last year. The clip, filmed while riding on a moving bus, showcases the teenager smiling and striking playful poses for the camera. Despite its simplicity, the video has surpassed 3.28 million views.

Even more remarkably, Seo Su-min’s YouTube channel contains only two uploaded videos, yet it has attracted over 140,000 subscribers, highlighting her growing popularity even before her acting debut.

Following the viral attention surrounding her personal channel, Seo Su-min appeared in several beauty-related content programs, where she revealed that she had been studying acting. She also shared that she had received casting offers from several of South Korea’s major entertainment agencies—commonly referred to as the “BIG3.”

However, Seo Su-min explained that she chose not to pursue an idol career. “I’m not confident in singing or dancing, so I decided to pursue acting, which had interested me for a long time.” After considering multiple offers, she ultimately signed with Y1 Entertainment to begin her acting career.
