Meanwhile, So Ji Sub has returned to television in SBS’s action drama Agent Kim Reactivated, where he plays the titular character. The series exceeded 15% nationwide ratings by its second episode, according to Nielsen Korea, while So Ji Sub also topped drama buzz rankings.
Adapted from the popular webtoon, the drama follows an ordinary office worker who secretly has a past as a former elite black-ops agent. So Ji Sub has impressed viewers by balancing heartfelt family moments with intense action sequences as he fights to rescue his missing daughter.
Namgoong Min Returns to KBS After Seven Years
Competing against Agent Kim Reactivated is Namgoong Min, who is making his long-awaited return to KBS after seven years with the crime thriller The Husband.
The actor stars as Kang Tae Joo, a neurosurgeon desperately searching for his kidnapped wife while facing an impending divorce. Speaking at the drama’s press conference, Namgoong Min revealed that he was so captivated by the script that he read the first four episodes without stopping.
Unlike his previous action roles, he explained that this series focuses on more realistic physical struggles, emphasizing exhaustion and vulnerability over stylized fight scenes.
With Go Soo delivering another box-office success and So Ji Sub and Namgoong Min competing in prime-time television, the three veteran actors are once again demonstrating why they remain among Korea’s most reliable leading men.
