To mark the occasion, she posted several magazine photographs taken while she was still a high school student. In the old images, Ruby Lin wore outfits typical of the 1990s, including a beret, overalls and simple knitwear. Her round face, large eyes and familiar dimpled smile immediately caught fans’ attention.

Tamsui Marked the Beginning of Ruby Lin’s Career

While she was in high school, she reportedly helped a friend complete a modeling application in hopes of earning extra income. That unexpected opportunity eventually led to her being discovered and entering showbiz.

The actress also revisited a well-known pork chop rice restaurant that she frequently visited during her early days as a model. Although the restaurant has since changed its name, the familiar taste brought back strong memories of her youth.

The trip was not entirely sentimental, however. Ruby Lin also recalled a humorous moment while walking through a local market with her daughter. Because the area was undergoing pest-control treatment, many cockroaches reportedly appeared along the road. The unexpected sight forced the mother and daughter to leave quickly.

Ruby Lin joked that the incident would probably become an unforgettable memory for her daughter’s first trip to Tamsui.
