DAY6 member Dowoon (real name Yoon Do Woon), who denied dating rumors last month, has once again come under scrutiny as speculation surrounding his alleged relationship with influencer Yoo Ji Yoo — the younger sister of former Ulzzang Generation star Yoo Hye Joo resurfaces. This time, an old YouTube vlog appears to contradict earlier explanations, reigniting controversy.
According to online communities on June 16, a past vlog uploaded to Yoo Ji Yoo’s YouTube channel recently spread online, quickly turning the rumored relationship between the two into a hot topic once again.
The controversy centers around a location featured in a vlog Yoo Ji Yoo uploaded around eight months ago. In the video, she was seen dining at a venue that fans identified as a limited-edition collaboration space between DAY6 and the Chinese restaurant Dorim at Lotte Hotel, created to celebrate the band’s 10th debut anniversary.
At the time, the collaboration course meal reportedly cost around 70,000 won, with an optional Peking duck upgrade raising the price to approximately 180,000 won. Despite the high cost, reservations were notoriously difficult to secure, with fans reportedly staying up late to fight for canceled slots due to the event’s sentimental significance.
In the video, the words “My Day” the name of DAY6’s fandom could clearly be seen on the table, while the windows were decorated with phrases including “DAY6,” making it unmistakably tied to the group’s 10th anniversary celebration.
Last month, Dowoon and Yoo Ji Yoo were first swept up in dating rumors after netizens pointed to several alleged clues, including sightings of a dog inside a vehicle, similarities in home interiors and houseplants, matching couple keyrings, and similar phone stickers. At the time, JYP Entertainment dismissed the rumors as “groundless” or stated that they had “no position” on the matter.
However, with this newly resurfaced video adding to speculation, some fans say their sense of betrayal has only deepened.
In particular, some fans expressed disappointment, saying, “They denied everything last month, but now there’s footage suggesting they enjoyed a date at a restaurant tied to memories shared with fans for the 10th anniversary and even left it in a vlog. It feels deceptive.”
On the other hand, some observers have urged caution, arguing that Yoo Ji Yoo could simply have visited the location with acquaintances and warning against overanalyzing limited evidence.
