Former LE SSERAFIM member Kim Garam has signed an exclusive contract with Management Koo and is officially preparing to launch her acting career.
On June 16, Management Koo announced, “We have consistently followed Kim Garam’s YouTube activities and were deeply impressed by her potential as an actress as well as her sincere attitude. Watching her work hard to achieve her dream led us to sign an exclusive contract with her.”
The agency added, “Kim Garam has continued training and studying to improve her acting skills, showing remarkable growth in a short period of time. In addition to acting, she has been consistently studying English and Japanese and even taught herself how to play the guitar, demonstrating a continuous desire to challenge herself and learn new things.”
The company further explained that it highly valued her dedication to self-improvement and her commitment to pursuing her dream of becoming an actress. “After internal discussions, we concluded that her future potential and room for growth are extremely promising, which led us to sign this exclusive contract,” the agency stated.
Management Koo also pledged full support for Kim Garam’s future activities, saying, “Her sincerity, passion, and willingness to continuously learn and grow will become great assets in her acting career. We will spare no effort in supporting her as she expands her activities.”
Kim Garam originally debuted as a member of LE SSERAFIM in 2022 but became embroiled in school bullying allegations shortly after her debut. As controversy intensified following the release of documents related to a school violence committee review, her exclusive contract with her agency was terminated and she ultimately left the group.
At the time, Kim Garam denied the allegations through a statement shared on an acquaintance’s account, saying, “I have never hit anyone or committed violence. In fact, I once helped a friend who was a victim of school bullying.” She also reflected on her brief idol career, stating, “The two weeks after my debut felt like a dream and remain unforgettable. I will work hard to become a better person.”
Kim Garam is currently known to be majoring in Media Acting at Konkuk University after enrolling in 2024. Since March of this year, she has been regularly uploading acting practice videos through her personal channel. With this new agency contract, Kim Garam is expected to begin a new chapter as an actress.
