According to legal sources on June 4, the Uijeongbu District Court will hold the sentencing hearing for a man identified as A, who was indicted on charges including robbery resulting in injury.
The prosecution previously requested a heavy sentence of 10 years in prison during the final hearing held on May 19 at the Namyangju branch of the Uijeongbu District Court. The case dates back to last November, when A allegedly broke into Nana’s home and attempted to commit robbery. He was reportedly subdued at the scene by Nana and her mother.

However, the case took an even more shocking turn when A later accused Nana of attempted murder and special injury for restraining him. Nana’s side strongly responded, calling A’s actions malicious secondary harm. They filed a countercomplaint against him for false accusation and announced firm legal action.
The Guri Police Station also applied an additional false accusation charge against A and forwarded the case to the prosecution early last month with a recommendation for indictment.

The trial process was not entirely smooth. During the fourth hearing on A’s robbery injury charge, witness questioning had been scheduled for a medical official who issued injury diagnosis reports for Nana and her mother. However, the hearing was postponed once after the witness failed to appear.
With prosecutors seeking a 10-year sentence, attention is now focused on what final judgment the court will deliver in Nana’s home invasion case.
