BTS made a brief but unforgettable appearance at the 2026 American Music Awards, leaving fans and celebrities excited despite their limited screen time.
During the event, BTS won three awards, further proving their global influence. The ceremony also kicked off with a performance clip of the group performing “Hooligan” from one of their concerts, drawing loud reactions from the audience and viewers online.
As expected, many stars attending the show took the opportunity to meet and snap photos with the group. Girl group KATSEYE and legendary rapper Busta Rhymes both shared their interactions with BTS, earning positive reactions from fans across social media.

However, one celebrity interaction quickly became a hot topic for a different reason.
Last year, J-Hope collaborated with rapper Glorilla on the track “Killin’ It Girl,” so many were not surprised to see her meeting the group at the awards show. Fans also noticed that she appeared to receive one of BTS’s “Keep Swimming” jackets as a gift.
The controversy began after Glorilla uploaded a group photo to her X account that appeared to catch several members off guard. In the image, Jimin could not be seen at all, while Suga and Ludacris appeared to be blinking mid-photo.

Some fans questioned why that particular image had been chosen and criticized the rapper for sharing what they considered an awkward or poorly timed picture. Others even brought up previous rumors alleging tension between Glorilla and Megan Thee Stallion, who also collaborated with BTS.
Online reactions quickly spread, with some netizens calling the post “weird” and claiming the photo did not properly represent the group. Meanwhile, other fans defended Glorilla, arguing that the situation was likely unintentional and being overanalyzed online.
