In a recent video uploaded to her YouTube channel Free Wife Han Ga In, Han Ga In looked back on her longtime career in commercials while sharing stories about her makeup routines, beauty tips, and unforgettable experiences on set.

While demonstrating different makeup looks, Han Ga In surprised viewers by revealing her unique pre-CF routine.

“I have to eat well the day before filming. I even eat ramen because I need to look a little swollen. I actually look prettier on camera that way.”

During the conversation, the production staff asked whether there had ever been a particularly shocking or difficult advertisement shoot. Han Ga In immediately recalled a physically demanding pose she had to do while filming a Samsung washing machine commercial years ago.

According to the actress, the pose required her to keep her back completely straight while bending down at an awkward angle toward the washing machine. “It worked in the illustration, but I couldn’t do it properly in real life. My legs hurt so badly for about two days afterward.”

She joked that the experience made her realize she needed to start doing yoga, adding that the pose felt like something “only someone who practices yoga regularly could pull off.”

Han Ga In also explained that she changes her facial expressions and posing styles depending on the type of advertisement, whether it is for cosmetics, educational materials, or home appliances.

The actress also entertained viewers by revisiting what she called some of her worst award show beauty looks.

One photo from the Baeksang Arts Awards featured Han Ga In with a hairstyle that she said resembled a poodle, making the production team burst into laughter.

She also revealed another memorable fashion “black history” moment from a past performance appearance with Park Shin-yang, where she wore a colorful clown-inspired outfit with glitter makeup.

Laughing at the old photos, Han Ga In admitted: “I honestly don’t know why I wore that outfit. I can’t even remember.”

Han Ga In debuted in 2002 as a commercial model before rising to fame through hit dramas including Moon Embracing the Sun, Bad Guy, and Mistress.

According to industry reports from 2011, Han Ga In reportedly received approximately 500 to 600 million KRW annually for her work as a Samsung washing machine model, further solidifying her status as one of Korea’s top CF stars.

The actress married Yeon Jung-hoon in 2005, and the couple has one son and one daughter.
