Nine members of THE BOYZ Sangyeon, Jacob, Younghoon, Hyunjae, Juyeon, Kevin, Q, Sunwoo, and Eric have officially parted ways with their agency ONE HUNDRED Label following a court decision.

According to attorney Kim Moon Hee of Yulchon LLC, who represents the nine members, the court approved their request for an injunction suspending the validity of their exclusive contracts on April 23.

The court determined that the trust relationship between the artists and the agency had been irreparably damaged due to issues attributable to the company. These included violations of obligations to pay settlement earnings and failure to provide proper financial records.

Although ONE HUNDRED claimed it had paid the members a significant signing bonus, the court ruled that this amount could not be considered an advance payment to offset future settlement earnings.

Attorney Kim stated, “For schedules that were already confirmed prior to the contract termination, the members will fulfill them responsibly in order to honor commitments to fans and minimize harm to third parties.”

She added, “We hope the remaining procedures can be resolved smoothly and swiftly, and the artists will continue to do their best in activities alongside their fans.”

Back in February, THE BOYZ notified the agency of their intention to terminate their contracts, citing unpaid staff wages and delayed settlement payments. However, member New chose to maintain his contract with the company.

In response, ONE HUNDRED rejected the termination claims and argued that certain member-related risks contributed to difficulties in continuing the group’s activities.
