On the April 18 broadcast of MBC’s variety show Omniscient Interfering View, Lee Joo Yeon appeared and revealed details of her daily life.

During the episode, Lee Joo Yeon mentioned how she was once known as one of the “Top 5 Ulzzangs” online during her school days. She shared, “In middle school, my eyesight was bad so I wore magnifying glasses, but when I entered high school, I started wearing circle lenses. As soon as I did, I received so much attention that I had never experienced before.”

She continued, “There were representatives from all entertainment agencies waiting in front of the school,” adding, “I started as a magazine model, and at some point, I found myself dancing. I thought it was fate,” as she recalled her debut story.

When asked about her popularity during her time promoting with After School, she said, “I feel like I’d get criticized if I say this,” but added, “There was at least one member from each boy group who showed interest. But it wasn’t just me—other members experienced the same thing.”

Lee Joo Yeon also revealed, “My parents used to tell me not to date. But now that I’m in my 30s, they actually encourage me to date.” She added, “I don’t really talk about my relationships with my parents because they worry. I’ve never introduced a boyfriend to them.”
When asked why she broke up with her ex-boyfriends, she candidly replied, “I tend to lose interest easily. And I feel like I always have to look pretty, so I’m more comfortable being with my family,” drawing laughter.

Lee Joo Yeon debuted in 2009 as a member of After School and left the group in 2014. She has since transitioned into acting and continues her career in the entertainment industry. In the past, she was rumored to be dating G-Dragon.
